You stopped seeing it? Did you just learn English?

Pure Ecstasy sound very much like their name as they specialize in dream-like lullabies. New single 'Voices' is out now, have a go on b-side 'Alexandria'. A gentle knockout:

Scuba's new 'Triangulation' LP is an absolute corker. Following on from recent releases from the likes of 2562 & Martyn, it energetically blurs the boundaries of techno, house and electronica. The pick of the bunch is the astounding 'So You Think You're Special'. You can buy it here.

Don't pick up that pie. Put the pie down..

14 Tracks come up trumps once again: This weeks selection focuses on the Nigerian rhythm nexus. Cracking collection that includes such luminaries as Tony Allen, Sir Victor Uwaifo & of course Fela Kuti. Also features King Sunny Ade & His African Beats which sounds like Kraftwerk, King Tubby & Fela Kuti sharing an angel delight. Apologies for the awful analogy. But it does.

And whilst we have our King Sunny Ade hat on, here's his wonderful cosmic jam 'Synchro System'. There's an 18 minute + version of this tune which you should hunt down 'cos it's a belter.

Domino are also releasing Quasi's new long player. The Portland groups 8th album is called 'American Gong'.

"Quasi have been rocking the sticky floored graffiti scrawled dimly lit trenches since 1993. What's been learned in these long years? Get off your ass, kick out the jams, lay it on the line, and communal mind meld is within reach. Do it for love and there is no reason for regrets".

They have loads of US & European dates lined up, check the Myspace for details.

There you go again, wasting decent oxygen on talking..

Beautiful spring sunshine covering the North west these past few days: Here is some aural gorgeousness for you. Roll The Dice is a collaboration between two of Sweden's finest studio scientists Peder Mannerfelt and Malcolm Pardon (Mannerfelt is also part of the Fever Ray project). They share a studio in Stockholm, so a collaborative project was always on the cards. The album is semi-improvised using only pianos & synths: 'A working method was established where the duo would enter the studio with no pro-conceived ideas, inspiring a freeform aesthetic which found structure in repetition and understated progression'. The results are wonderful, very reminiscent of the Delia & Gavin record from a couple of years back. You can buy it here.

Roll The Dice- The New Black (Download)

White Lunar is a collection of Nick Cave & Warren Ellis's finest cinematic output (from films such as The Proposition, The Road etc):
'The first CD has the big themes, the orchestra and the songs and the second CD is fractured, haunting and sometimes badly behaved'.
As you'd expect, a beautiful collection. Perfect for floating downstream too. You can make your purchase here.
