Yes sir, it's true. This man is some kind of rodent, I don't know which...

A new 12 is on the way from Parisian duo Discodeine on Dirty: 'Joystick' is an electro throwback with a nagging keyboard refrain that kinda reminds me of a Sean Paul song. Don't let that put you off tho. The 12" also features a Tomboy remix of 'Joystick' & extra track 'Homo-Compatible'. They are now starting to do some live shows, catch them at Sonar amongst other festies. A Long Player is due later in the year.

Is your life missing a little Baroque? How about harmony? What about a smidgen of Pop? If your answer to each question is yes, get yourself down to a Fleet Foxes show quick smart. A healthy dose of all three is administered. The latest in a seemingly never ending line of US bands who specialize in Harmonic excellence: Their self titled debut is out now on Sub Pop.

Groep 1850 were arguably the finest psychedelic rock band to come out of The Netherlands. Active during the late 60's/early 70's, they released three albums- I've no idea how this tune found it's way onto my computer, but it contains Jazz Flute and a guitar solo that sounds a lot like 'Freire Jacques'. A winning combo in anyones book.
