Third record in just over 12 months from Bradford Cox- Following on from the sublime Atlas Sound release, Deerhunter's 2nd LP 'Microcastle' is due in record stores soon. It's a lither, more focused affair than 'Cryptograms' which lets the songs speak for themselves. Is there any current artist as prolific & consistent as Cox? Check out the Deerhunter blog if you haven't already done so. Here is the Pixie-esque 'Saved by Old times'.

Au are preparing to release debut 'Verbs' later this month: if Animal Collective had actually gone to Sunday school this is how they would have (almost certainly) turned out. gallons of elegant, celestial harmonies on show here.
