Good Evening Parents, Tonight I'm Gonna Take you On a Tour..

The latest installment in the Fabric series is put together by Simian Mobile Disco: It's a splendid mix that takes in dancefloor classics from the likes of Metro Area, Green Velvet & Plastikman and also features new cuts from the likes of Discodeine, Hercules & Love Affair and The Sisters of Transistor. Its a great antidote to the raft of mixes that slam together 50 or 60 tracks an hour, Lots of blends where the incoming & outgoing tune feed off each other:

“We dug through a lot of stuff that’s not very current. With a lot of mix CDs, you do them and you know it’s just going to go out and do its thing, but we always think a fabric mix is something that sticks around a lot longer. We weren’t aiming to make it the most current mix of tunes; of course there will be a few new things but a lot of it is us digging back into our record collections, just the stuff that people may have forgotten about, or that went overlooked.”

The launch party is on Friday August 1st where they'll have Egyptian Lovers & The Sisters of Transistors playing live. More guests TBC. A couple of tunes from the Mix:

The Sisters of Transistors- The Don (Z Share) (YSI)

Perc & Fractal- Up (Perc Mix) (Z Share) (YSI)

Even features a little Moondog too: Not this one tho.

Moondog- Pastoral (Z Share) (YSI)

Have a Top weekend
