Summer seems to have finally arrived- time to break out the Pimms & stick on the Tropicalia. This Soul Jazz compilation has been on heavy rotation since it's release last year, it features all the prominent artists from the scene: Os Mutantes, Tom Ze, Jorge Ben, Gal Costa etc..
The songs are pure pop music, the production is raw: Fuzz guitars and metallic drums give the tracks a distinct sound. Many artists have revealed their love of Tropicalia, including Beck, David Byrne, Tortoise & Kurt Cobain to name a few. Check out a few of the tracks from the compilation:
Os Mutantes- Bat Macumba (Z Share)

Gilberto Gil- Procissao (Z Share)

Gilberto Gil & Os Mutantes- Domingo no parque (Z Share)

And there's a second installment on the way... God bless Soul Jazz Records.
Byeeeee

My company would like to hire some people to put several comments in blogs daily.
They will have to post comments in news articles or blogs and leave our webadress as signature.
They do not have to be very keen at english -
the main idea is that they have to know it enough to put not a single-word comment
like “thanks for the info”, but leave something that is connected with the topic of the blog or ask
blogger a question regarding his article.
Could you please point me to some special sites where I could talk to and discuss
employment with indian english speacking freelancers?

Okay, we seem to have the same taste in music. I saw Os Mutantes perform last year. AMAZING. They just had a blast on stage. I picked up the Martin Denny - Exotica album last week. Campy, but fun.
